Is Discrimination Based On Bankruptcy Filing Prohibited In The Bankruptcy Code?

There is an “anti-discrimination” provision in the Bankruptcy Code which states that government entities and private employers may not discriminate against a person based solely on that person’s past or present bankruptcy filing or insolvency. Furthermore, a bankruptcy discharge allows a debtor that has previously had their driver’s license revoked because of their inability to pay damages assessed on them as a result of an accident may have their driver’s license returned to them.
