Traveling Without a Visa
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, or USCIS, is strict regarding visas for both immigrants and non-immigrants. There are specific visas for a variety of immigration needs, such as business, education, tourism, and more. However, in some cases, foreign nationals are allowed to travel to the United States without a visa.
At Garg & Associates, P.C., we have decades of combined experience that we want to put to work for you. We can help you determine if you are eligible to travel to the U.S. without a visa, or we can assist you in finding the right visa for your needs. The Visa Waiver Program
The visa waiver program is available to citizens of 36 participating countries. Participation in this program allows citizens to travel to the United States for both business and pleasure without applying for a visa. However, your stay is limited to 90 days or less. Some countries in the visa waiver program include:
- Australia
- France
- Germany
- United Kingdom
- South Korea
Other Visa Situations
Due to treaties such as the North American Free Trade Agreement, citizens from Canada and Mexico can travel to the U.S. without a visa in certain situations. Additionally, sometimes citizens from Bermuda can come to the U.S. without a visa as well. However, these visa-free trips are only granted for specific purposes, and sometimes only for a certain period of time.
